Dr. Paul Cangiano

Dr. Paul M. Cangiano is the founder of Vision North, having practiced in the Boston area since earning his Doctorate of Optometry in 1996. A true Bostonian and the last of four children to Italian immigrants, Dr. Cangiano received his Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1990, which sparked his initial interest in optics. Following two years in bioengineering research, he pursued his Doctorate at the New England College of Optometry.

From 1996 to 2004, Dr. Cangiano was part of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, a large multi-specialty group practice. During these years, he developed specialized skills in pre- and post-surgical management and worked alongside some of the city's premier ophthalmologists. He has a particular interest in refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK, and has contributed to early FDA clinical trials. He remains dedicated to educating patients on new technology through regular seminars and lectures.

While Dr. Cangiano has participated in various community initiatives over the years—including vision screenings and international eye care missions—his primary focus is providing exceptional care to his patients and spending quality time with his family. He enjoys his free time with his wife, two children, and their dog, Ruby. Whether coaching hockey, surfing, or fishing, he strives for excellence in all he does and finds his greatest happiness in helping others.
